What a wonderful time to gather with the family! It was so good to have everyone come for supper! I am so thankful for all the help to get the meal made and served too! With such a special occasion there is much effort put forth! Tami brought the green bean casserole, sweet potatoe souffle & sweet snacks to nibble later. Mom brought a sugar free gelatin with strawberries and banana and then with Gloria's help all the yeast breads, pumpkin bread & date bread were baked. Gloria was up at 6:30 preparing the turkey for the stuffing I made. Later in the morning Ben & Ronald did chores with Glenn while potatoes were mashed, gravy thickened, broccoli casserole baked, turkey was carved and cream corn heated. The turkey & stuffing makes the house smell wonderful! We baked the apple pies the day before alongwith making a pumpkin cream cheese roll. The china was shining on the table as we gathered for prayer. Brandan had traveled from NC to be home for this Thanksgiving and was able to join us with Mark, Tami and Bryce in the kitchen. Dad prayed as we all bowed our heads in thanksgiving to God for making this day possible. We never take it for granted that there will be another gathering together. SO this is truly a special day for all of us!!
